As the river runs

As the river runs
I watch it flow
Bending and winding
Down the river bed
Moving with trust and wisdom
Infused with the memories
From those who came before us
I come here to listen
I open to remember
As the river runs free
I let it take my mind
And so it goes on a journey of twists and turns
Slowly the knots of delusions and fears untangle
I arrive in the present and take a deep breath
My lungs steady and a calmness fills them
My heart beat attunes to the
Thrumming of Mother Earth
The wind caresses my skin
An invitation to soften
Is sung as the leaves gently dance above
I can feel myself
Becoming more of myself
A returning to my natural essence
I feel safe here to feel and release
All that I’ve been holding
The presence of the holy mother & father is alive and vibrant
They speak to me in subtleties
The child within me completely embraced
It is here I remember how loved and protected I am
I welcome this wave of unconditional love to wash over me
It radiates within and around me
The more I open the stronger the vibration pulsates within and around me
I can feel the land singing with rejoice
Tears run down my face
Alchemizing grief into joy
Purifying rage into peace
I lay my bones down
The ancestor rocks hold me
As the river runs
Dear readers this something a bit different from our usual blog post. This poem came flowing to me as I was falling asleep and literally poured out of me as I woke up. Inspired by the magical moments that I've experienced at our river. Today being the Summer Solstice it is a time to honor the harvest of the year and honor the ancestors who brought us into fruition. May you enjoy the fruits that you have cultivated up to this point. Open to the inspiration that nature provides each and everyday. I welcome you to take a pause today big or small and allow, acknowledge, and embrace all that you are, are a part of and what you are becoming.
Mucho Amor,
Amanda Luna
