Intimate Dinner with the Mamos
Time & Location
About The Event
For the Taironas, living on the steep slopes of Colombia's Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, sustaining the balance of the spiritual and ecological world is their sacred task. They call themselves the Elder Brothers, the guardians of the Earth, and the rest of modern civilization are the Younger Brothers, whose exploitative practices are destroying the mountain's ecosystem and, by extension, the rest of the planet.
This second visit will be a time to hear and reconnect. Since last year's presence of the Mamos, the land that holds EcoMaste has seen many changes and learn important lessons. Last year, the message from the mountain was that monther earth felt sick (energetically). At the end of May, the Elder brothers will be here one more time to reasses and resume connection with the Diamante Valley.
• The Teyuna came to the West 40 years ago from their mountain habitat and told us "the glaciers are melting"
• They asked us to change our ways
• We didn't believe them, we ignored their plea, and we went on doing what we did and the artics continued to melt
• The Taironas are urging us to wake up
Join us in this gathering and learn to attune to nature more deeply by spending time with the Teyuna Shamans known as Mamos.
